Employee Advocacy Program

Southeastern Insurance Consultants (SICNB) would like to encourage your use of our Employee Advocacy Program. This program is in place to help you and your employees better understand and maximize your benefits.

In order for us to help you in this process, please keep the following things in mind:

  • SIC is your point of contact for all administrative issues such as billing, additions, terminations and changes. You can contact us at 866-567-2227, or fax 803-749-3621.
  • For Claim issues, your initial point of contact should be your Insurance Carrier's Customer Service.
  • When calling your insurance carrier, please have the following items at hand for your discussion with the Customer Service Representative: Your Social Security Number and the Dates of Service in question.
  • In the event you do not get a satisfactory answer from your insurance carrier, please call us at SIC and we will be happy to assist you with any claim issue. Please keep in mind, we will need the same information as your insurance carrier would need (social security number and dates of service), as well as a signed Authorization form allowing us to speak on your behalf.
  • Please keep in mind that any claim issue must be handled by the individual who incurred the claim. Due to the HIPAA Privacy Act, neither your insurance carrier nor SIC are allowed to discuss Private Health Information (PHI) with anyone other than the claimant, unless that individual has a signed Authorization Form.
  • Please Contact SIC for the Voluntary Authorization form needed if you wish for anyone other than yourself to call on your behalf. Please copy and distribute to all individuals covered under your plan.
  • SIC will be happy to come to your office and hold employee education meetings. If you would like to schedule such a meeting, please call us at 866-567-2227.
